401(k) AT A GLANCE

Q: Do you know what the "k" stands for?

A: The 'k' comes from the Revenue Act of 1978, Section 401, paragraph 'k', and it was introduced and adopted by the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).

Q: Are all employees eligible to join the Company's 401(k) program?

A: All employees, regardless of status (full, half, or part-time) are eligible on the first of the month following six months of employment.

Q: What does the Profit Sharing Program consist of?

The Profit Sharing program conists of three components: 1. Profit Sharing - If the Company has a profitable year, an amount is deposited to an employee's account towards his/her retirement fund. 2. 401(k) with Employer Match - Employees will contribute by payroll deduction to their accounts. The Company may contribute a matched amount up to 3% of the employee's eligible income. 3. Discretionary Cash Bonus - Employees who have at least six months with the Company and are employed by December 31st may be eligble for a cash bonus that is usually distributed at the end of the year. *All components have additional requirements so please get more information from your Manager or Supervisor.
